PartyPoker Review

partypoker.com is part of the biggest online gambling business in the world, bwin.party digital entertainment plc.

bwin.party digital entertainment plc was created as a result of bwin and PartyGaming merging in 2011. It provides four different types of gambling services and owns well know and reputable brands within each type. It owns PartyPoker in the poker industry, bwin in the (sports) betting industry, PartyCasino in the casino industry and Foxy Bingo within the Bingo industry.

PartyPoker was created in 2001 and is now one of the largest poker rooms in the world. It has developed a reputation as one of the ‘softest’ online poker sites. This could well be down to its easy-to-use and friendly user interface. As such, PartyPoker is thought to be one of the best online poker sites for intelligent poker players to earn healthy profits.

You can download the partypoker.com software on both Windows and Mac computers. In addition, Party Poker now is available on the move, with its applications for both iOS and Android devices.

PartyPoker new player bonus

PartyPoker offers a quite modest new player bonus in comparison to the other poker sites. However, it more than makes up for this in other areas of its welcome package, such as its instant bonus and freeroll tournaments for new players.

Partypoker.com gives new players £20 FREE when they deposit £10 or more. Unlike the poker bonuses offered by other online poker sites, the Party Poker bonus is a very simple concept. You will get your poker bonus immediately

The free poker bonus will be paid to you in the following format:

  • $10 free to use on PartyPoker cash games
  • 1 x $5.50 tournament ticket
  • 3 x $3 Sit & Go Hero tickets
  • 2 x $1.10 tournament tickets

You will lose your PartyPoker bonus if you do not use it within 14 days. This offer expires on 31 December 2018.

Other aspects of the Party Poker welcome package

Aside from the poker promotion above, you are also rewarded if you make a bet at partysports. If you make an unsuccessful bet of between £5 and £10 at partysports you will be given a £5 free bet. Or if you make an unsuccessful bet of £10 or more, you will be given a £10 free bet.

At PartyPoker.com you can also benefit from some fantastic poker promotions currently in place. One of my favorite of these is the Cash Game Missions.

For new players only, PartyPoker.com has 7 missions to complete. As you conquer each mission, you will be rewarded with free bonuses. The total poker bonus you could benefit from is a generous $140. Some of these missions are really easy. For example, one mission is to simply play 5 cash game hands, and win one! Check out the “promotions” tab at Partypoker.com for more information.

PartyPoker Tournaments

PartyPoker has a great range of regular poker tournaments that suit all player abilities. Tournaments at PartyPoker can be split into three broad categories:

  • Cash tournaments – these are tournament where you pay an entry free to win the share of a cash prize pool.
  • Qualifier tournaments – in qualifier tournaments you enter via cash (or PartyPoints) in order to win a ticket into a bigger tournament (whether it be an online tournament, or a live tournament).
  • Freeroll tournaments – these tournaments offer players the ability to play for a cash prize pool for no entry fee.

Within these three tournament categories, PartyPoker has a number of differing playing formats, including the following:

  • Regular cash tournaments – in these poker tournaments the blinds increase every 15 minutes.
  • Shootout tournaments – these tournaments are where you continue to play with the same table of players until only a certain number of players (usually 3) are left.
  • Rebuy tournaments – in re-buy tournaments you have the opportunity to re-buy chips during the tournament.
  • Speed poker tournaments have faster blind intervals that regular cash tournaments.
  • Heads up tournaments – this is where there is only you and one other poker player at the poker table.
  • Bounty tournaments – in bounty tournaments you are paid for knocking other poker players out of the tournament.

Throughout the year PartyPoker gives its online player the opportunity to qualify for entry into live, and frequently televised, poker tournaments. For example, you can qualify for World Poker Tour (WPT) via PartyPoker.com. With the chance to win life changing prizes, and guaranteed prize pools in the millions, it is well worth getting involved. WPT Season XIV is just about to begin. Check out more information via the “Tournaments” tab at Partypoker.com.

The biggest regular online tournament at PartyPoker is the $150,000 guaranteed. Held every Sunday at 14:00 GMT, you can play for a share of $150,000 or more. Whilst the entry fee is $200, you can quality for as little as $1 via satellite tournaments. Or play in the $150,000 frenzy mega satellites, where you can qualify for $10.

One more interesting thing to mention about tournaments at PartyPoker.com is its fantastic deal making facility. This deal making facility gives poker players the ability to make a deal with other player(s) for all, or part of, the remaining tournament prize pool once they reach the final table.

PartyPoker cash games

Cash games offered at PartyPoker include; Fixed Limit Hold’em, No Limit Hold’em, Pot-Limit Hold’em, Pot-Limit Omaha and Fixed 7 Card Stud. Most people play No Limit Hold’em poker. However, the other varieties offered at Party Poker are also fun. For more information on these other variations of the poker game check out our Poker Game Types page

Cash games on PartyPoker can range from stakes of $0.01/$0.02 to poker games with blinds of $30/$60. Poker software

PartyPoker game features

  • Casual Cash Games – PartyPoker’s casual cash games give you assurance that you are playing against other players that are only playing one cash game at a time. This is a great idea as often you come up against players that are multi-tabling, and take far too long to play a hand!

  • Loyalty Points – PartyPoker loyalty points are earned from playing real money games. The number of PartyPoints that you generate each month will determine your rewards. You can earn up to $1000 cash and $500 in tournament tickets a month from earning PartyPoker loyalty points.
  • New table designs – the poker tables at PartyPoker have recently been upgraded for ease of use and attractiveness. You may have noticed that PartyPoker have also re-branded its logo!

PartyPoker Security and Fairness

The PartyPoker website provider, ElectraWorks is licensed and regulated by the Gambling Commission in the UK. This gives comfort that Party Poker is a highly regarded, trusted and reputable online poker site.

The PartyPoker software is powered by bwin.party systems. The software is fair, unpredictable and reliable. PartyPoker.com achieves fairness and integrity via the following methods:

  • Cards are distributed by a random number generator. This distributes cards in an unpredictable and unrelated fashion. As such, poker players at PartyPoker will be unable to predict future trends from past hands. iTech Labs, an independent third party, has tested this distribution of cards from over 2 million shuffled decks, and deemed them to be truly random.
  • State-of-the-art technology that identifies and prevents player collusion.
  • Having an investigations team who use sophisticated tools to identify and investigate any reports of unfairness.

The security and privacy of customers data is protected via 128-bit encryption provided by Thawte security at PartyPoker.
